IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON COVID-19
Date: June 27, 2022
Thank you for keeping our tutors and the community safe over the past two years of the pandemic. As the province of British Columbia has lifted most COVID-19 restrictions, we have resumed in-person tutoring services for Greater Vancouver, Victoria and Kelowna.
Some tutors may continue to only tutor online out of an abundance of caution for their family. For the best selection of tutors and the widest availability, consider online tutoring or a hybrid model with a mix of online and in-person lessons.
For in-person lessons, a screening questionnaire is provided for tutors and students prior to each meeting. We ask that both our tutors and students be considerate of each other and continue to follow our recommended COVID-19 safety protocols.

With the pandemic situation improving and vaccination rates up, we are happy to resume in-person tutoring sessions for students residing in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley and Greater Victoria.
Availability for in-person lessons may be limited for some neighbourhoods as some tutors opt to continue only teaching online due to safety concerns. For the best selection of tutors and for the safety of each other, online tutoring is still recommended. Clients are also welcome to consider a hybrid model with a mix of online and in-person lessons.
For in-person lessons, a screening questionnaire must be completed prior to each meeting to ensure everyone is COVID symptom-free. Clients may also request for the tutor's COVID vaccination record as a precautionary measure.
Our online tutoring platform, TutoringClassroom, continues to be widely popular for remote learning. A new homework hand-in and discussion feature has been added to TutoringClassroom.

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to put safety as our priority for our tutors, students and their family.

With the rising cases of COVID-19 and increased health regulations, Math Tutor Network will temporarily suspend in-person tutoring offerings for new students in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. In-person lessons will still be available for students in Greater Victoria.
We understand that this may bring inconveniences to some students in the affected areas. For students in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley who are interested to transition back to in-person lessons in the future, please let us know at the time of registration. You will be matched with a tutor who can meet in person when health regulations ease.
Most students find our online tutoring platform, TutoringClassroom, very useful. TutoringClassroom provides tutors and students with a collaborative whiteboard, session recording and PDF notes export.

We are now able to offer in-person tutoring service on a limited basis. As only a small subset of tutors are able to meet students in person due to safety concerns, we ask clients to be flexible with their requirements if in-person tutoring is the only option that would work.
Many of our tutors continue to restrict their services to online tutoring only. We strongly encourage clients to consider virtual tutoring as there is a much wider selection of tutors and flexibility. Our clients have adapted well to our online tutoring platform, TutoringClassroom, in addition to using Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet for video calls and screen sharing.
We have developed safety protocols for in-person tutoring that both students and tutors must strictly adhere to. Clients and tutors are both required to complete a self-assessment prior to each in-person session. Any party who experience COVID-19 related symptoms on the day of the lesson cannot meet for an in-person tutoring session. The lesson may be cancel, reschedule, or resort to online tutoring. Clients will not be charged for late cancellation fees where the lesson is cancelled due to COVID-19 related illnesses.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we try our very best to protect your family's, our tutors and their family's health and well-being.
