Our in-home elementary school tutors ensure that your child master numeration and algebraic skills without the need to travel.

Common Difficulties

Students in kindergarten and elementary school often have difficulty relating objects to numbers. They may understand how an equation works pictorically, but may not be able to write out the equation. Interpreting and solving word problems poses another challenge.

How Math Tutor Network can help?

Our fully-trained tutors realize the common difficulties students encounter and adjust the pace of teaching to the student. Depending on the student, more visual structures may be used to help students understand math concepts. Word problems will be given to students whenever appropriate to build their problem solving skills for the future.

Instead of giving answers away, tutors will ask a lot of questions to lead students to the answer. They will provide additional examples and exercises where necessary to help students refine their understanding.

Our Recommendations

Math Tutor Network recommends kindergarten and elementary school students do math everyday. Set aside 15 to 30 minutes a day and have your child practice the math concepts taught or the homework assigned during the lesson. By practicing everyday, the math your child learn will be retained in their long term memory.
